Patients and doctors travel in separate corridors, and only meet under controlled circumstances, in rooms using negative air isolation and other disinfection technologies.

Throughout the facility, AKILA Care is carefully partitioned into zones ensuring a maximum of safety:

  • Contaminated (e.g. patient rooms)
  • Semi-contaminated (e.g. corridors)
  • Non-contaminated areas (non-frontline work areas)

Negative-pressure isolation rooms

Negative air pressure isolation wards are critical to controlling the flow of infected air in a high-risk facility, containing the contagion within a single room. In a negative-pressure room, air flows in from the surrounding higher-pressure areas, but does not flow out into corridors and other areas of the hospital.
